Cohesive

Brands that hold together: strategy, identity, packaging and websites, designed as one story.

From the studio

A logo on its own is not a brand.

A brand is the tag on the garment, the box it arrives in, the post that made you look twice and the website where you finally said yes. When those pieces are designed separately, people feel it, even if they can’t say why.

Made Cohesive designs them together. We start with strategy, written down in plain words, and build every touchpoint from the same foundations: the same colours, the same type, the same voice.

We work with a small number of brands at a time, so every project gets the same people from the first call to the launch, and the same care in making it all hold together.

The work, in four acts

No surprises

I.

Listen

A discovery call and a short questionnaire. We learn your product, your customers and what isn’t working today.

II.

Define

Audience, positioning, brand pillars and tone of voice, written down and agreed before any design starts.

III.

Design

Logo, type, colour and graphic elements, then the real things: tags, labels, packaging, social and web pages.

IV.

Launch

Final files, a brand guide your team can use, print-ready artwork and a live website.

A living room with a terracotta wall, sage green panelling, a burgundy armchair and a sage floor cushion.

The studio

Small studio. Whole system.

The people who write your strategy also design your packaging and build your website. Nothing is handed off, so nothing gets lost.

One team

From the first call to the launch, the same people work on your brand.

Plain words

No jargon in our proposals, and none in your brand.

Made to be used

Guidelines your team can follow without calling us.

Letters to the studio

You asked.

Q. How long does a branding project take?

It depends on scope. A brand identity usually takes a few weeks; identity plus packaging and a website takes longer. You get a timeline with dates in your proposal before we start.

Q. How much does it cost?

Every project is quoted after a short discovery call, once we know what you need. The quote is fixed, and it lists exactly what you’ll receive.

Q. Can you design only a website, or only packaging?

Yes. If you already have a brand, we work from your existing guidelines. If the foundations are missing, we’ll tell you and suggest the smallest fix.

Q. Which platform do you build websites on?

The one that suits how you’ll run the site day to day. For product brands that’s usually Shopify, as it was for Shivaun.

Q. What do I need to get started?

A few lines about your business and what you’d like to change. Get in touch below and we’ll set up a call.
